Are you frustrated trying to grow your business? Join the club! Whether it’s a lack of time or you’re simply too caught up in the day-to-day operation of your business, we all come across challenges that hold us back from taking our business from successful to amazing.
We work with clients every day who come to us because their customer service is slipping, they’re experiencing those dreaded growth wobbles, or simply getting the peaks and troughs in their sales funnel. Frustrated, tired and most commonly, spread too thinly across their business. At the same time, they are passionate, ambitious and incredibly motivated.
Sound a bit like you?
The solution is incredibly simple. I certainly didn’t! I reached a point in this business where I knew, in order to scale it up without scaling up my own stress levels (and working till 3am instead of 2am), I needed change. Based on my journey, here’s what I suggest you start implementing TODAY to grow your business without having to resort to alcohol, valium or worse – a divorce lawyer – in the process!
Action 1: Your systems
Having systems in place as you strive for operational excellence means IP is no longer in your head. It becomes a resource in your business, meaning you can delegate within your team. Just as important, in documenting your systems and procedures you’ll clearly identify risks both in terms of ‘stuff ‘ not getting done (or getting done in time) and inefficiencies across your business.
In our ebook “Effortlessly Manage your Business” (pages 11-12) we talk about how to build your systems and procedures.
Action 2: Your resources
Outsourcing is something you may already been embracing. If not, consider it. I’ve covered the most common barrier we are asked about, is hiring a virtual assistant expensive in another article but in order for you to spend your time where you’re adding the most value to your business, you need to bring complimentary expertise into your business. We offer two services to meet client outsourcing needs, virtual assistance and online business management.
Our virtual assistants pair up with clients with a focus on project outcomes. We work across your business complimenting your own skills while utilising the expertise within our team to get the right person doing the right task at the right time. We get things done.
Our online business managers actively partner with you to manage your business. All of it! We’ll manage your teams, your financials, your strategy and operations … partnering with you to ensure you meet your goals.
In essence, VA’s ‘do’ and OBM’s manage. If you’d like to discuss either of these options for your business simply click here to book a 20 minute free discovery call. No strings!
Action 3: Your strategic planning
You’ll never finish that marathon if you don’t know where the finish line is. Likewise you’ll never take your business to amazing status if you don’t find time to plan. Write down your dreams, turn them into smart goals, put a business plan in place to ensure you achieve those goals.
Here’s a guide on how to set and achieve smart goals with templates to make this action nice and easy for you.
You won’t achieve every one of these goals every time (God knows I haven’t!). But each time you don’t, you’ll learn what needs to change when you reset the goal … and if you don’t set goals you won’t grow your business. It’s that simple.
Action 4: Your value
Take a minute to give yourself a bit of a pat on the back. We get so caught up in the frustrations of all that lies ahead we can forget to stop and acknowledge our achievements. Look at what you’ve already achieved. You’re pretty incredible!
Now you need time and support to concentrate on doing what you do best. By spending time where you add the most value to your business you’ll love what you’re doing (which means EVERYTHING) and you’ll truly transform your business. From successful to amazing!
Don’t forget, talk to me about your business in a free discovery skype. No obligation, I’d love for us to be your outsourcing partners but just as much I’d like to talk to you about your business. Two heads are better than one. Here’s the link to my calendar.
